NI mmWave Transceiver System with 28 GHz Radio Heads
This is a software-defined radio (SDR) transceiver capable of transmitting and/or receiving wideband signals (up to 2 GHz) in the 27.529.5 GHz range. It integrates easily with LabVIEW and supports full 5G testing scenarios aligned with 3GPP and Verizon specifications.
Note: Educational & Academic Research
Offers students and researchers hands-on access to mmWave communications, including prototyping, channel measurement, and real-world experimentation.
Enables exploration of 5G/mmWave PHY layers, beamforming techniques, channel modeling, and SISO/MIMO operation in a lab environment.
Supports both design experimentation and validation of academic theories in graduate-level teaching and thesis work.
Industrial & Applied Testing
Ideal for 5G system validation including compliance with 3GPP/Verizon standards, hardware prototyping, and performance benchmarking.
Supports channel characterization, functional testing, and pre-deployment evaluation of mmWave radio designs.
Applicable to antenna testing, over-the-air (OTA) beamforming verification, RF performance measurement, and spectral efficiency studies.
